"This is a thing between you and me, okay? I actually do thought that when people die, they became the Angel that lives in our 'Heart'..."
IZUMI MANAMI
|
Nicknamed "Mana". He was given the position as treasurer of St.Angel's Student Council, for being one of the smartest students in school, who can be considered the closest 2nd most smartest after Takuto. Like Takuto, Manami is known for his hardworking and intelligent self, and he aims to expand his knowledge to more than academics-based subjects, such as Angel Game. Though, the biggest downside to his intelligent status that does not make him as perfect as Takuto, is the fact that he's the worst at communications among the Student Council. Manami appears to be a good friend (or rather, a teasing subject) of Yunosuke. Manami is always seen holding a notebook (or a budget book) and a calculator.
Personality
- Manami's intelligent differs a bit from Takuto as Manami leans more on the logical side. Believing in observations and researches when it comes to finishing anything, sometimes even to help Kazuki and Inugami in order to complete their tasks smoothly as Manami realizes that not everyone in the school owns the same view/perception as him. He also owns quite an obsession with mathematics.
- Being introverted, Manami struggles a lot when it comes to expressing his feelings into words; sometimes leading himself to speaking too formally or stutter in the middle of a conversation. Adding the fact that he's shy, reserved and inexpressive--communications and interactions is pretty much, the biggest weakness to Manami. He's also the weakest at starting any conversations, or know how to read atmosphere well--sometimes making him quite gullible to jokes and the likes.
- Manami is aware of his own flaws, hence, he slowly tries to improve on his communication skills, and aims to become more friendly and approachable. He also tries to get better on his Angel Gaming skills, which still needs a lot of improvements.
- Unlike most of the St. Angel members, Manami does not believe in the fact that Angel Game should be a curse. He stated that his sacrifice in Angel Game made him realize all the things he truly wanted in life, and he wouldn't progress this far if it wasn't because of his misfortunes. As he tried avoiding the negativity from other students in the school, Manami believed that one should not simply give up from their life and focus more on the brighter side after their life have taken a turn after becoming an Angel Gamer.
- While Manami does not own that many friends, he's highly appreciative of them, and is grateful of those who can tolerate his introverted personality. He also frequently mentions his friend from the past, for making him reaching this far...?

However, despite being very contrasting to each other in terms of personalities and backstory, Manami is one of the few who can tolerate to Inugami's personality. |

Manami only managed to get along with Kazuki because of how Yunosuke tricked Manami to become her instructor when she was still new to the Student Councils. Thankfully, this leads to Manami finding someone he can consult with comfortably as well as giving his own advice and input. This also helps that Kazuki is the most approachable one when compared to other Student Council members, which helps Manami on slowly improving his social anxiety. |

Manami doesn't actually mourn over his past. He remembers and sometimes, mention it as a memory of his old and weak self, but won't let his past became the biggest excuse on why he should give up on life--despite how much he actually missed his old friend...who's no longer with him..?
Last year, Manami's life only consisted in studying and attending many tuition, as forced by his parents. He never complained and actually doesn't mind staying as a top student, and because of that; Manami never had any friends. He never thought about such things like making friends or interacting with anyone, but one day - he met a boy named Kishi; an Angel Gamer who is a year older than him. He has been living in the same neighborhood with Manami for a long time, though they never talked before. A single meeting somehow made them closer. Kishi somehow always visited Manami everyday after school, talking about various things unrelated to studies...mostly about Angel Game - the only thing Manami didn't have in his knowledge. He also learn about Kishi's dream of being a photographer; and shows more interest towards Kishi's conversations about his dreams since Manami himself never had a future career that is decided by his own... After half a year knowing each other, Kishi ended up staying in the hospital due to an incurable disease. Without realizing it, Manami visited Kishi every single day in the hospital. One day, they promised that they will travel the world together, if Kishi managed to somehow recover. Manami finally know the true meaning of friendship only because of a single promise. The next day, Manami woke up with a "Heart" appearing on his left palm, and quickly ran to tell Kishi at the hospital - only to find out that Kishi passed away on the very same day. In the end, Manami kept his first and last promise to Kishi and decided to attend St.Angel--in order to change himself and become stronger, while searching for his own dreams--bringing along all the memories he treasured with his first friend.

- "Why do people seek for the perfect intelligence...? Being smart and all...doesn't mean you're a perfect being that can resolve everything..."
- "Like a knight that saved me from this prison that was made by myself...No matter how much I regret not saying anything back then, I'm glad...that I managed to finally find my true dreams..."
